Today's post brings me to our adventure towards Watauga Lake. These lush rolling hills forced me to take a detour. Had find a spot with there being no pull-offs on the road, i managed to find a wonderful farm house with a wide open view. Taking my time to snap the picture before the old man on his riding mower chased after me. It was well worth it.www.NomadicTravelerPhotography.com

Thanks!I saw there were some great feathery paintbrush clouds to the south on Monday afternoon, so after Dana got home from work, we headed up the mountain to the Peaks of Otter just in time to catch the clouds catching that nice pink sunset light. I severely damaged my shoes when I stepped in a knee deep mudhole trying to get out into the marsh to get the shot, but, I think the shot was worth it. Thanks and have a great evening!

Landscapes of the Blue Ridge
My friend Jason Rinehart discovered a pretty good patch and invited me to go out and take pictures of it this afternoon. It is located in some beautiful farmland of Botetourt Co, VA. The blooms are just starting to come out and it will probably be better in a few weeks, we have plans on being here sunrise and at night as well.
