The book of that title, featuring essays by Charles Maynard and photography by Jerry Greer, celebrates “the world’s oldest mountains” in about 200 pages of coffee-table expansiveness, stunning photos and poignant essays.
Jerry Greer’s internationally acclaimed photography has been published in magazines, calendars and seven books, of which “Blue Ridge: Ancient and Majestic” (Mountain Trail Press) is the latest. He lives in Johnson City, Tenn., with his wife Abbey and their daughter Serén. Photos here are among the scores – many as large as 12 x 18 inches – in the book.
