The perfect complement to any home – from a quaint cabin in the woods to a luxurious mansion in the mountains – beautiful chairs and accessories crafted at Woody’s Chair Shop in Spruce Pine, NC are handcrafted in a time-honored tradition and of heirloom quality.

The seventh generation of family chair makers creates stunning rockers, bar stools, table chairs, foot stools and benches by hand, without using any nails or glue.

Old tools used in the wood workshop lend to the longevity and beauty of the final product. The chair-making process includes timeless methods for bending and aging the wood. Products are available in five types of wood: ash, cherry, oak, walnut and maple. Chair styles include Chalet, Colonial or Betsy Ross.

Their work is well respected and can be found in The Smithsonian Institute and the homes of President John F. Kennedy and the Reverend Billy Graham. Woody’s Chair Shop also is a proud member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and maintaining a long-standing association with the Penland School of Crafts.
