Wild Food Weekend
North American Bushcraft School 1435 Providence Church Rd, Hedgesville, West Virginia
Join Primitive Skills Instructor Jason Drevenak of the North American Bushcraft School for a day of firepit cooking. When human ancestors first used fire to "cook" food, they tapped into a skill that would allow them to thrive on every part of our planet. This one day workshop shows you how to prepare a complete meal without using electricity or prefabricated cooking utensils. We will learn coal cooking, hot rock griddles, boiling water, spits, tripods and steam pits. We will make cooking and eating utensils and learn to manage heat with wood types and fire pit design.
