16th Annual Event to be held February 7, 2015 10 AM – 4 PM

“Children having tons of fun for 16 years straight!”

Roanoke County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, along with support from Roanoke County’s department of Economic Development and a wide variety of Roanoke Valley organizations and businesses, present “Tons of Fun” at Tanglewood Mall. This free family fun day of activities include clowns, puppet shows, music, magicians, games, craft activities, caricatures, carnival rides, entertainment and much more spread throughout the Mall. Tons of Fun is designed to enthrall, engage and bring a smile to the faces of children and their families.

Organizations like the Roanoke County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism, Camp Roanoke, Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, Mill Mountain Zoo, Virginia Tech, Macaroni Kid Roanoke, Clean Valley Council, Laser Tag Source, Roanoke Star Soccer Club and Roanoke Ballet Theatre are just a few of the organizations that help continue the growth and excitement of this family event.

Once again this year the Roanoke County Camp Fair will be held in conjunction with our Tons of Fun event. It will provide a great opportunity for families to meet with representatives of summer camps throughout the Mid-Atlantic. What better way to find out which camp is right for your child! Door prizes will include free weeks at camp!

This annual event held the first Saturday in February is constantly expanding with both new attractions and new exciting entertainment for children. Celebrating the 16th anniversary will surely bring lots of surprises to this popular event. With over 10,000 attendees each year, you can see that there is sure to be “Tons of Fun” for all. All activities are free, thanks to the sponsorship of Tanglewood Mall, Roanoke County’s Department of Economic Development and Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism.
