Symphony of Stitches Symposium

Now in it's 6th year, this one-day symposium will feature Civil War Dolls - Serving the Cause. Faye Snyder, a collector, dealer and conservator of antique dolls for over 30 years will cover the mediums used to produce porcelain, wood, cloth, wax and Papier Mache. The program will address wartime roles of dolls and will also address the famous Rose Percy doll. Joan F. Knight, formerly with the Virginia Quilt Museum will talk about crib and doll quilts and more. Care, Repair, Conservation and Restoration of dolls will also be covered. Many dolls will be on display and attendees are encouraged to bring dolls for Show & Tell. Catered lunch is available.
