Spring Ephemerals Workshop: Botany and Bloom Series

Experience the wonder and passing beauty of spring ephemeral flowers blanketing the forest floor at Sky Meadows. Kick off our Botany and Bloom Series with Shenandoah Chapter Virginia Master Naturalist Paul Guay in the Carriage Barn. Enjoy this workshop on ephemeral plants, their habitat and seed dispersion methods, environmental threats, identification tips and tricks, and more. Then, test your new identification skills on an approximate 3-mile guided hike to witness these spring wonders in their native habitat. Receive a color copy of the lecture to take home.
Bring water and lunch to eat along the trail, dress in layers, and wear sturdy shoes. Workshop fee is $15/adult, $5/child (12 and under), and is payable on arrival. Workshop fee includes parking.
