Live Country Western music, carriage rides and Native American Dancers will highlight Orange Country Headstart’s annual Family Fun Day to be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 at Booster Park, Orange, Va., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendance at this event is free and will also include a Petting Zoo, a K-9 exhibit, a Corn Hole Tournament, children’s face painting and numerous children’s games, including an Egg Relay, Bucket and Sack Races and a Hoola Hoop Contest. At 2 p.m. a drawing will be held to give away a John Deere Gator.
The live music groups performing throughout the event will include the Heartland Band and Bradley Seay with Southern Crossroads, a group whose music has achieved cuts with major artists and have had songs placed throughout film, TV and trailer campaigns. Proceeds from the event’s vendors (food, crafts, farmer’s market and independent consultants) will benefit local Orange Country Head Start programs, including playground improvement and classroom supplies.
