Explore a special area of Chimney Rock State Park’s old growth forest, otherwise inaccessible to the public, with canopy members over a century old, some likely 200 to 300 years of age. Improve your tree identification skills and see our largest known Chestnut Oak in the park on this moderate two-hour off the beaten path hike with a naturalist. Limited to 15; advance registration required. Join an expert naturalist on park trails every 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month April-November to learn about wild edibles, plants, wildlife, survival skills, birding, geology or other fun outdoor topics.
Cost: $22 Adult (includes Park admission), $10 Annual Passholder, $12 Youth (ages 5-15), $5 for Grady’s Kids Club Member
