Hickory Nut Gorge is home to 36 rare plant species and 14 rare animal species, making it one of North Carolina’s most significant centers of biodiversity. Follow naturalist Clint Calhoun Off the Beaten Path to see some of his favorite areas in the Park and learn about species living there. Bring your camera and lace up your boots for this moderate-to-strenuous hike. Limited to 15; advance registration required.
