Linoleum Block Printing

Learn how to design and develop a relief print by carving a linoleum block. Students will learn techniques for carving the block, how to ink up and print the block and how to sign and edition the finished prints. No prior printmaking experience is required, but students should come prepared with ideas for a 5” x 7” print such as a black and white drawing or photograph. There is a materials fee which includes a 5” x 7” linoleum block, a carving tool set, a 4” brayer, a tube of relief ink and paper for printing.
