Jackson Park Concert Series Featuring the Legacy Band

The Town of Pulaski and the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley’s Jackson Park Concert Series continues on Friday, July 26, 2013. Pulaski’s own "Legacy" will entertain concert goers from 6:30 pm. to 8:30 pm. Jackson Park will open at 5:00pm. Legacy is a local four piece band from Pulaski. They play a variety of classic rock and pop from the 70s and 80s, along with classic country, new country, and some southern rock. Legacy has been playing for about eight years. They play private parties, fundraising events, and they play for many of the Moose Lodges in Southwest Virginia. They will be performing at the New River Valley Fair on Tuesday, July 23rd.

The band members consist of Paul Surratt on vocals and guitar, Charlie Smythers on bass guitar, Sherman Wright on guitar, vocals, keyboard, and sound, and Scott Allison on drums. As many know, Scott Allison passed away recently; he had been battling diabetes for some time. He was an amazing drummer, friend, father, husband, and much more. Mike Gray, who was Legacy’s original drummer, will be playing drums on July 26th. The band photo for this event has Scott Allison pictured. The band left it this way in his honor!
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and go back to the 70s and 80s with Legacy. Concessions available. In the event of rain the performance will be held at the Pulaski Theatre, 14 West Main Street, Pulaski, Virginia. Jackson Park is located on 1st Street, NW in Pulaski, VA.
