High Country Farm Tour
to
Ashe, Avery, Caldwell & Watauga County Farms in Western NC Boone, North Carolina
The High Country Farm Tour provides community members with opportunities to visit local farms, connect with farmers, and learn more about growing food sustainably. Hosted annually by Blue Ridge Women in Agriculture, the goal of the tour is to create an educated consumer base that supports and advocates for locally-owned and operated farms and businesses.
This year's self-guided tour features 29 stops across Ashe, Avery, Caldwell, and Watauga counties in northwestern North Carolina during the weekend of Aug 3rd & 4th. Visitors can pick and choose which farms, breweries, and wineries they'd like to visit between 2-6pm. The advanced cost is $25 per carload, for all farms, all weekend, $30 on the day of the tour.
There will be fun for the whole family including the inaugural Farm Tour photo contest, Lil' Locavore Learning Series for the youngsters, Snack Stops featuring local chefs, a FREE downloadable Farm Tour mobile App, a variety of volunteer opportunities, and much more.
