Greenbrier Valley Polar Bear Plunge

Blue Bend Recreation Area State Route 16, Alvon, West Virginia 24986
Club members gather annually to plunge in the 30-degree waters of Anthony Creek in the Monongahela National Forest with proceeds benefiting child abuse victims. Spectators are welcome and new members are encouraged.
The one-hour event includes club members singing the "Ode to Polar Bear" song, the Polar Bear Spirit Award winner presentation and a giant American Flag hung from the swinging bridge.
