Canoeing/ Kayaking - Subway Commonwealth Games of Virginia

Time: Registration will begin at 8am, Race will start at 9:30am

Directions: To get to 114 bridge from I81 take Exit 109 to Tyler Ave and drive into Radford. Take left onto Main street and continue through town. Take a right and drive across Memorial Bridge into Fairlawn. At light where Sheetz is located take a right onto Rt 114. The boat launch turn off will be right before you pass over the 114 bridge.

We will shuttle racers and boats up to River View Park and start the race there.

Total distance is 8.86 miles for the race.

The finish line will be at the end of the wave train located right in front of the 114 boat launch

Format: Boats will be timed individually

Boats will launch at staggered times

Observe all water safety rules & lifejackets must be worn during race

Whitewater and Flatwater boats are eligible

Winners will be based on overall finish time

Admission Fee: Early registration, $22 individual, $27 per tandem team. Day of Race, $32 Add $5 for all mail-in registrations
