Breathe Deep Blue Ridge
to
Mercier Orchards 8660 Blue Ridge Drive, Blue Ridge, Georgia 30513
Breathe Deep Blue Ridge 5K timed run/walk is a grassroots event planned and managed by the Mercier Family Orchards in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Melissa Mercier Lillard, a third-generation family member, was diagnosed in February 2011 with stage IV lung cancer. She was never a smoker, nor was anyone in the family. We want to raise awareness that lung cancer is no longer just a smoker's disease, and that lung cancer has no boundaries.
Please come and enjoy a brisk run or a fun walk through the apple blossoms at Mercier Orchards on April 19, 2014 and be a part of a great cause. All of the proceeds go to the LUNGevity Foundation to fund research, early detection, and lung cancer awareness. In addition to the 5K run/walk, we will offer food and live entertainment for the whole family.
Awards will be given out to first, second, and third place winners as well as first, second, and third place 12 and under winners.
