Arts of Appalachia: Painting Your Story Quilt

Saturday, August 9; 9am-4pm

Quilt-making is an art form that spans multiple centuries and a variety of cultures. Learn and develop techniques to illustrate your own story through color, texture and pattern with a narrative painting. Share your story by creating a unique wall hanging for your home or a friend. Talented local artist Nora Mosrie leads the workshop. No previous art or sewing experience required. Materials provided, but participants may also bring their own keepsakes to incorporate in the art. Advance registration required.

Cost: $65 Adult (includes Park admission), $50 Annual Passholder; price includes $25 materials fee
