Haywood’s Historic Farmers Market is located in Waynesville in the parking lot of HART Theater and the Museum of NC Handicrafts (Shelton House), 250 Pigeon St.(Hwy. 276S). It is a short 2-block walk from historic Main Street and operates on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 8 am-Noon, late April thru the end of October. Our winter market operates through the end of November.(Check website for Winter Market details/updates – www.waynesvillefarmersmarket.com.)
This producer-only market offers a wide range of locally grown produce, flowers, herbs, and landscape plants. At this second largest market in WNC you’ll also find a wide selection of meats (chicken, pork, rabbit, lamb, beef, turkey, duck, quail), eggs (chicken & quail), cheeses, mushrooms, baked goods, preserves, honey, NC mountain trout, and NC seafood delivered overnight on Saturdays.
NC heritage crafters display weavings from natural fibers, pottery, furniture and wood products, brooms, soap and beauty products, candles, ironwork, birdhouses & feeders, and other heritage items.
Demonstrations and special events are featured monthly, often with local musicians. Please join us at this very special community place!
