“An Evening of Shakespeare”

Bring your friends out to the plantation for an evening of theatre under the stars on Jefferson’s south lawn. Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest is partnering with The Virginia Shakespeare Initiative in a statewide celebration of William Shakespeare’s work in anticipation of the 400th anniversary of his death on April 23, 2016. Bring a picnic dinner, sample a selection of local libations and experience the magic of Shakespeare’s verse.

The performance will take place 5 nights at Poplar Forest, each beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Advance tickets are strongly recommended. Tickets are $15 for Adults (ages 18+), $12 for students (ages 6–17 and College), and $5 for children (ages 5 and under).
