Patsy Ingle Phillips shares images she took in February 2012 after a snow storm in Southwest Virginia.
Phillips took an interest in photography as a hobby in the late 1980s. She works closely with several groups in Southwest Virginia, volunteering much of her photography for brochures and websites to promote the area. Her work has been featured in Virginia Wildlife magazine and on the Landscope America website. She has won several awards at local fairs and festivals.
"As a self-taught photographer, I enjoy the beauty of this area with an inspired and intimate knowledge gained from my lifetime of observation living here in the Appalachian mountains," she says. "My observations are captured and translated through the use of digital media and a discerning eye for thought provoking photography."
