Wild Virginia's February Book Club
to
Charlottesville Charlottesville, Virginia 22903
Wild Virginia is honored to have pediatrician, scientist, activist, and author, Dr. Hanna-Attisha speak at our February Book Club. The book selection is her book, What the Eyes Don’t See: A Story of Crisis, Resistance, and Hope in an American City. It is the story of how the author, a pediatrician, stood up to those in power to fight for safe, clean drinking water for her young patients.
This is a rare opportunity to hear the firsthand experience of a pediatrician working during the Flint water crisis. Please join us to discuss and learn more about this inspiring story of activism and justice. You don’t need to read the book to attend.
This year marks 50 years since the passage of the Clean Water Act. In honor of this anniversary year, Wild Virginia book club will be discussing books related to water throughout the year.
