Vietnam Combat Art Exhibit

During the Vietnam War the US Army sponsored teams of artist to experience the event through photographs, sketches and notes. Their studio art is currently housed at the US Army Center of Military History in Washington DC, but the local Vietnam War Commemorative Partners are the first to have permission to reproduce these pieces for public viewing. The collection will be on display from March 26- April 26 at Ballator Gallery within Hollins University’s Moody Center daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please join us for an opening reception and the inaugural viewing on Wednesday, March 25 from 6pm to 8pm with remarks from Sarah Forgey, curator of the Army Art Collection. Exhibit is free and open to the public. The event is brought to you by the Vietnam War Commemorative Partners- County of Roanoke, Roanoke City, Salem, Stonewall Jackson Chapter/AUSA and the Town of Vinton.
