Two Old Faves to Finish Up the Year

December 21: Chestnut Ridge Loop Trail near Roanoke. 5.4 miles. December 27: Appalachian Trail to McAfee Knob from Va. 311 and back. 7.4 miles.
The old black Chevrolet was allegedly found along the wide trail in the '60s and pushed down the hill to where it has rested and rusted ever since.
