An annual tradition since 1988!
The morning will start with the Miners Run — a 3.61-mile out-and back course. The race is in memory of the 361 coal miners killed in the 1907 Monongah mine disaster.
The festival will open with the parade starting at noon, which begins an activity-filled day.
Some of the fun will be Lil’ Miss Contest and the Most Photogenic Baby Contest. There will be plenty of food vendors. Entertainment will include Jenna Won’t Sing and Thistle & Tweet, followed by The Gamblers Band.
Make sure to sign up for the corn hole tournament and craft show plus the tug of war.
“Flop in the Slop” is back again this year.
