Smoky Mountain Fiber Arts Festival
to
Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center 123 Cromwell Drive, Townsend, Tennessee 37882
Presented by the Townsend Artisan Guild & the Tennessee Valley Handspinners Guild
Sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission, Arts and Cultural Alliance, and Blount Partnership
The Festival will focus on the “sheep to shawl” concept – transforming fleece into finished goods and art pieces. Join us to explore your creativity, enhance your skills and to pursue interests in the fiber arts. Vendors will offer demonstrations in addition to selling supplies, tools, hand-spun and hand-dyed yarn, and finished goods.
Register to learn basic skills and advanced techniques in classes. Geri Forkner, renowned instructor, award-winning fiber artist, and our featured artist, will offer classes ranging from basic techniques to emerging electrified fiber art.
Be sure to take time to see fiber on the hoof and foot – when you view the llamas, sheep, goats, and angora rabbits.
