Sinkland Farms 30th Annual Pumpkin Festival opens next weekend, and Saturday's musical performer is Gracia Harrison from The VOICE! The festival will be open every Thu-Sun through October. Take a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick out your own "great" pumpkin, walk through acres of sunflowers, make your way through a mind-boggling corn maze or visit the farm animals. There will also be horseback trail rides, pony rides, a huge kid’s zone with a giant slide, a kid-friendly zip line and many games. New this year: a barrel train ride! Enjoy local live music and Acapella groups while sipping beer and wine on the terrace. Watch pig racing, try the Bad Axe Throw or nosh from visiting food trucks. There will be many artists and crafters ready to entice you with hand-crafted goods. For a sweet treat, enjoy hand-dipped ice cream and, of course, Sinkland’s extra special kettle korn. Oct 2 and 3 Team Carbo will be bringing Onager, the catapult, to sling pumpkins 2,000 feet!
