New World, New Plants: Earth Connection Series

Meets at the Carriage Barn.

Throughout its history, humans have used and altered the landscape of Sky Meadows by using native, and introducing new plant species. Join professional outdoor instructor Tim MacWelch of the Earth Connection School for a plant identification walk focusing on the wild American plants useful to the American Colonists who settled the Crooked Run Valley, and the non-native species they brought with them to the New World. All ages welcome. Walk held rain or shine, and be sure to bring water, dress in layers, and wear sturdy shoes.
