MONONGAH MINE DISASTER REMEMBERANCE

The Town of Monongah will honor the coal miners who lost their lives in the explosion of 1907.
The remembrance includes the ringing of the bell at 10:30 AM – the time of explosion, prayers, various speakers and music. There will be a reception at the Town Hall along with exhibits and the film, “Monongah Remembered” by Peter Argentine Productions
1:00 PM Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Traction Park Fr. Daas will lead the blessing at the cemetery
1:30 -3:30 lunch at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Mass following
