Four-time Grammy award winner David Holt is a musician, storyteller, historian, television host and entertainer dedicated to performing and preserving traditional American music and stories. Holt plays ten acoustic instruments, including banjo, slide guitar, harmonica, bones, spoons and jaw harp, has released numerous recordings of traditional mountain music and southern folktales, and is well known for his work in multiple television and radio series. He was a musician in the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? The U.S. State Department has sponsored Holt’s performances as a musical ambassador to such diverse lands as Nepal, Thailand, South America and Africa.
