Russell-Brasstown Scenic Byway. North of Helen. This 38-mile loop features scenic overlooks, spectacular views of the mountains and valleys at an elevation of 2,040-3,644 feet.

U.S. 76. Drive from Dalton on I-75 east to the S.C. border through the "Top of Georgia" with its scenic overlooks and pretty views in Gilmer, Fannin, Union, Towns and Rabun counties.

The "Top of Georgia" region is home to four prominent lakes: Nottely Lake in Union County, Blue Ridge Lake in Fannin County, Lake Chatuge in Towns County, and Lake Burton, Seed Lake and Lake Rabun, all in Rabun County.

Apple Monument. World's largest apple monument (5,200 lbs.) is located in the center of downtown Cornelia. 706/778-4654. Visit Website.

Stovall Covered Bridge. Near Sautee. 33 feet in length, it's Georgia's smallest covered bridge, built around 1895.
