The Western Piedmont Symphony returns to Sparta on August 27 to perform "Dance Machine", a collection of dance music that travels through history from the 1600s to the present. The performance begins at 7pm and ticket prices range from $5 - $20. Maestro John Gordon Ross describes it as a lively program that will introduce a variety of dance styles and music that has kept them alive over the centuries. A 1pm performance will be conducted for students and teachers will be provided musical guides to help students understand each composer and his music.
