The Roanoke County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism presents our fourth annual “Summer Stock Dinner Theatre”. A memorable Sunday afternoon awaits you as you enjoy a true Shakespeare classic. Sit back and enjoy dinner, a great performance and a fabulous experience under the stars!
Join us this summer for one very special performance of Taming of the Shrew on Sunday, June 30th at AmRhein’s Wine Cellars located at 9243 Patterson Drive, Bent Mountain, VA 24059. The evening consists of the performance plus a catered Elizabethan meal for $20/person. You will have your choice of entrée, either Chicken Pie or Salmon, and it will be accompanied by Compound Sallet (salad) and Creamy Rice Pudding dotted with dates and currants.
If you prefer to bring your own picnic dinner, admission to the show only is $8/person if preregistered by June 24. Children under five years old are admitted free. Additional beverages and wine will be available at AmRhein’s Wine Cellars, however no outside beverages will be allowed at this venue.
Reservations for dinner and the show must be made by the Monday preceding the performance date (June 24). Show-only tickets will also be available on site the evening of the performance, $10/person payable by cash only. For more information call 540-777-6326.
The Elizabethan meal will be served from 3 PM – 4 PM and the performance will begin at 4 PM outdoors under a lovely afternoon sky. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. The performance is presented by the Open Air Shakespeare Performers.
