Montpelier By Candlelight

Spend an evening with President James and Dolley Madison, America’s “first” First lady. Montpelier is the place where President James Madison, Father of the Constitution, conceived the foundation of American democracy. Tour the Mansion and learn about the fascinating lives of James and Dolley Madison. Once a year, Montpelier holds their Candlelight Tour, complete with interpreters, music, food and wine. The mansion is decorated for the season and we get to enjoy it! We’ll follow our tour with dinner at Zocalo on the downtown mall in Charlottesville.
