Step back in time to the early years of our country's history, when citizens banded together to form local militias to protect their lives and property. Periodically, officers would call a muster, a gathering of the members for training or to work on public works projects.
Drill practice and musket firings will take place at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 4:00 pm on Saturday and 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm on Sunday. Throughout the event, experience life in the muster camp and talk to reenactors about early 19th century militias. Kids crafts and activities, including candle-dipping, will take place in the camp.
