Buck Nelson was formed in the fall of 2012 with the mindset of trying something new for the music scene where we live. Modern country music is dominating the airwaves with so many artists becoming crossover stars in the world of Top 40 music. Our initial thought about Buck Nelson was to play the music we enjoy listening to and what we believe the vast majority of our surrounding population enjoys listening to. We had given thought to branching out into a “party” type band that played everything across the board, however we eventually decided that there are already a lot of bands offering that service and very few offering strictly modern country. Our hopes are to fill a niche that we believe is there for the taking. We are hardworking, dedicated, and serious about what we have to offer.
Influences are Hootie and the Blowfish, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Eric Church, Justin Moore, Blake Shelton, Jake Owen and Zac Brown. Buck Nelson Band Members are Josh Taylor, Chris Conner, Jake Roseberry, Eric Gress and Rob Abbott.
The concert series is co-sponsored by the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley and the Town of Pulaski. The concerts are held in Jackson Park located across from the municipal building from 6:30 to 8:30 pm with the park opening at 5:00pm. The concerts are free and open to the public. Please bring your lawn chair or blanket. Donna Jones/ Main Street Bistro will be providing concessions with her great homemade food. Pulaski Theatre is the rain location for the concert series, times remain the same.
Please call the 540-980-7363 for additional information.
