Georgia Folk Pottery Day!

Everyone is invited to this exciting and festive event! Approximately 175 pieces of Michael’s pottery will be fresh from the kiln including face jugs, grape decorations, swirl ware, large jars and more. Sale starts promptly at 11:00 am (open 'til 1pm), so come early for best starting positions and for best selections. Older pottery for sale will include prized pieces by Cheever, Arie, Lanier and Edwin Meaders. Other N. Ga. and Southern makers wares available new and old. This years feature exhibit will be an historical display of White County, Northeast Georgia folk pottery dating from the early 1800’s to the early 1900’s. (over 100 examples including 19th century wedding jugs, spitoons, face jugs, decorated ware, etc) Meet other collectors and visiting area potters. Shop and tour one of the last remaining old-time folk pottery shops in America.
