Whether steam train fan or natural historian, this is a favorite trip into the early 20th century as we are transported by steam train up one of the highest peaks in nearby West Virginia. Enjoy a reenactment of living history as we come to understand how we lost the original high elevation spruce forests and how they have recovered over time. Pack a lunch; we will stop for dinner on the way back. $40 members, $50 nonmembers. Price includes transportation and rail ticket; price of dinner not included.
