Arts of Appalachia: Mountain and Hammered Dulcimers

Bolster your traditional musical talents by learning the mountain dulcimer, the only "American Instrument” from 10am-noon and the hammered dulcimer, which dates back over 3,000 years, from 1-3pm. Impress yourself and your friends by learning to play at least one song within two hours—guaranteed! These hands-on, two-hour dulcimer workshops are led by acclaimed Park musician John Mason on hammered dulcimer and Ken Schoewe of the Mountain Music School on mountain dulcimer.
