The 6th annual Brenau Barbecue Championship festival will take place Friday and Saturday May 23-24, 2014. So far the Brenau Barbecue Championship has netted more than $500,000 to help pay for scholarships for deserving students. Featuring national champions and local cook teams alike, the festival also has incredible vendors, a car show, great music and lots of kids' activities. This year the championship is sponsored by the Memphis Barbecue Network (MBN) and Georgia Barbecue Association (GBA). Tickets at the gate: $5; kids free.
