Held at McHarg Elementary School. On Friday the 17th: Follow the amazing true story of several bird species as they migrate hundreds of miles to survive the changing seasons over a four-year period in the film “Winged Migration.” Then learn about some of the common species you may encounter during the Great Backyard Bird Count 2012 and pick up your data form to kick off the Festival!
On Saturday the 18th: 9:00-10:30 AM – bird walk with Radbird's local bird expert Clyde Kessler in Wildwood Park
1:00-5:00 PM – McHarg School, 700 Twelfth Street, Radford - We'll have crafts for kids, a photo contest, live animal appearances, a bluebird presentation by Carl Hansen and more. Bring your completed GBBC countforms and we will post results to the GBBC website.
