Rosemary Dry Rub for Steaks

Ingredients:
1 cup kosher salt
2/3 cup fresh ground black pepper
½ cup sugar
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
½ cup chopped fresh rosemary

Method:
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly, place in and air-tight container until use.

Tips:

Brush your steaks with extra virgin olive oil before applying the dry rub,
And allow the steaks to sit 15-20 minutes before cooking so that the rub can begin to penetrate the meat.
Since there is sugar in the rub the meat will caramelize quicker so be cautious when roasting or grilling over very high heat.
This rub works especially well on a new york strip cut as well as ribeye, tenderloin, and flank steaks

Serve with roasted potatoes and a nice summer salad.
