I have found that my siblings and I are descended from both the Clay and Cecil families.

Thank you to Katherine Bateman for the painstaking research required by a project of this magnitude and for communicating the emotion and understanding of the phyches and personalities of our shared ancestors. I can hardly wait to share this with my family over the Christmas holidays! In memory of our mother, Martha Ann Clay, and grandfather - Ernest Paris Clay. (Who I have discovered was most likely named for his grandfather, Daniel Paris Clay, who was most likely named for his ancestor who founded...Pearis, Kentucky. We'll probably never know who first mis-spelled 'Pearis' in a baby's name, but obviously - someone did!)
